Our main wedding season runs from November to March. We also offer off-season weddings during the months of April and October. Your wedding is one of the most important milestones you will reach in your life, it is a marker of your love and signifies the start of a long life together. How often do you get all of your favourite people together under one roof? Your loved ones will travel from far and wide to be with you and, here at Te Mania Homestead, we want you to make the most of that. You should enjoy your celebrations without the feeling of being rushed through the venue.

With that in mind, we have very limited space and only offer one wedding per weekend. Our minimum venue hire is two nights, where you will have exclusive use of the property from 2.30pm the day before your wedding until 10.30am the day after your wedding.

General inclusions in your venue hire include -

  • Exclusive use of the Homestead (7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms) for two nights

  • 10m x 24m clear span marquee and shade cloths (able to comfortably sit up to 150 people if dance floor and bar are located inside)

  • 150 white bentwood chairs

  • 20 wooden tables

  • 20 white wooden ceremony bench seats

  • Rubbish removal

  • Two on-site viewings

  • Venue manager on-site ensuring your event runs smoothly

  • Venue cleaning before and after your stay

Te Mania Homestead is a BYO venue and we do not charge you a corkage fee. This means that you have the freedom to tailor your own alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage menu to better reflect yourselves as a couple. However, all bar service at Te Mania Homestead is to be managed by the Te Mania Homestead team during your wedding. We ask that a full beverage list please be provided two months prior to your event and that all beverages be delivered to the venue for bar staff to organise the day prior to your wedding. You will need a chiller trailer to keep your beverages cold. These are usually provided to you free through your chosen liquor store.

Clay Bird Shooting (a fun day after activity or with groomsmen the morning of): From $300
Transport coordination to/from Kaikoura or Cheviot (Transport costs are additional): $100

Are you ready to set a date? Please contact us to check if your preferred dates are available within our wedding calendar. We can meet, either in person or virtually. It's best to arrange a site visit so you can meet us and we'll answer your questions as we show you around the property. We will send you our contract and an invoice for the deposit payment. When the contract is signed and deposit received we will secure your booking at the venue.
